Application
Advantage of Conventional Spray over Airless is the simplicity and robustness of the equipment with minimum of maintenance required and with the ability to spray material of all types including such that contains “grits” or particles of sizes up to 3 mm.
Procedure
The Alltek materials are delivered in standard 25 kilo plastic bags as a paste completely ready to use. 40 bags (1000 kilo) are placed on a standard EURO pallet for easy handling by forklift. The plastic bags are practical packing for when using the spray application method. Alltek can also be supplied in 10 or 15 liter plastic buckets suitable for hand application to smaller areas, single rooms or smaller apartments as a preparations coat before final decoration with emulsion paint.
Material consumption over fairfaced concrete, when applied in two coats, is normally between 1,5 - 2,5 kilo per m2, depending on quality of concrete and skill of the applicator.
Several different grades of Alltek are available, below is a short summary of the most common or see our product specifications:
- ALLTEK UNIVERSAL (Red Label) Is a white product based on fined graded marble powder and suitable for application in two coats as a leveling/surfacing material to interior walls and ceilings of fairfaced concrete, lime/cement plaster, plasterboard and similar surfaces prior to painting. Alltek can be applied as a smooth finish or alternatively, sprayed as a decorative texture in which case ceilings would not need any further decoration/over painting.
- ALLTEK VIOLET (Violet Label) Similar to above but with added binder for a harder and more resilient surface. - Extensively used when booth walls and ceilings are to be left as a textured finish. - Typical users are the ACCOR Hotel Group in France and Internationally.
- ALLTEK Superfine (Orange label) A very fine graded white material (<100 micron) to be used when extra smooth surfaces are required. This material is then normally applied as a second coat over the CACHET RED
